Hillingdon’s Major Applications Planning Committee has approved plans to build a 3,543sq m Tesco supermarket on the former Master Brewer site in Hillingdon.

Tesco won out in a long-standing battle with another supermarket giant, Morrisons, to develop the space in Freezeland Way. Tesco’s original planning application was refused in December 2013 on the grounds of its proposed height for a seven storey a hotel

Permission has now been granted for a six-storey, 70 bedroom hotel and 125 homes at the site.
