Major companies including Heathrow airport, Balfour Beatty, Costain, and travel agent TUI were among those recruiting from Uxbridge College's student population during Work Week in June 2018.
The jobs fair, part of the annual event held at the college to help address skills gaps in a range of sectors, linked around 700 students and trainees with local, national and international employers in speed interviews and workshops, as well as holding CV advice sessions.
Heathrow staff ran workshops for students including IT staff talking about project management, and business operation staff giving an insight into team management.
Kiran Rami, head of guidance and information services at Uxbridge College, said: “This Uxbridge College event which is now in its sixth year was bigger and better than ever with local, national and international employers choosing to recruit from among our students as part of their commitment to ensure their companies and staff are the best they can be.
"It is no accident that they consider Uxbridge College with its targeted skills training, top quality teaching, and professional-standard facilities an important resource for accessing the best young people for their vacancies."
Other participants included Hyatt Place West London, John Guest, Jomas Associates, OmniServe, Oxford Instruments, Park Inn, Parkside Recruitment, Pinewood Studios, Premier Inn, Segro, TravelEx, WH Smith, the Ruislip Manor Chamber of Commerce, and the UK Border Force (pictured).
