Hillingdon Council's annual Arts in Action festival returned to the borough for a month-long celebration on 20 June, offering events and activities for all residents until 15 July.
Organised in partnership with Hillingdon Arts Association, a programme of events includes art exhibitions and workshops, a craft market, tribute acts, orchestral and choral concerts, talks about art and history, and a folk concert.
There will also be a variety of theatrical events on offer; with a free outdoor circus, the Teletubbies show, a play marking the end of the First World War, and performances from young drama students inspired by women winning the right to vote.
Richard Lewis, Hillingdon Council's cabinet member for central services, culture and heritage, said: "We have a multitude of societies offering artistic programmes in Hillingdon, and our Arts in Action festival is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy the array of arts and culture on offer.
"The season of events provides a chance for local art groups to share their talents with the wider community, and we hope that more people will discover the power and potential of community art projects. Many of the events are free and get booked up quickly, so I'd encourage residents to book in advance. We hope to see you there."
