A scheme by Transport for London (TfL) to make bus travel easier by colour-coding buses by route will be rolled out across five west London boroughs, including Hillingdon, following a similar trial in east London last May.

Commuters in Hillingdon, Harrow, Ealing and Hounslow will start noticing 40 colour-coded buses showing the main destinations and travel interchanges on their sides.

The trial forms part of London mayor Sadiq Khan's plan to make buses as easy to use as the Underground.
