The cusp of Crossrail's arrival is just one factor making the town a west London magnet for investment.

The borough is served by three Tube lines (Central, Metropolitan and Piccadilly) on the London Underground network and a Crossrail station is planned for Hayes and Harlington, with a direct connection to Heathrow.

London's strategic road network including the nearby M4, A40, A312, M40 and M25 provide efficient transport links into Hillingdon.

Crossrail will run from late 2019, bringing the benefit of even better connections, slashing journey times to central London – the current 55-minute run from Heathrow to Liverpool Street will take just 35 minutes. With capacity for 1,500 passengers per train, 200 million people are expected to use the service each year. Both West Drayton and Hayes and Harlington stations will be Crossrail stops

Three underground lines run through the borough – Central, Piccadilly and Metropolitan – which is approximately 30 minutes from central London, convenient for meetings in the City or West End. For appointments elsewhere, First Great Western runs trains direct to Reading and Oxford and onwards to Cardiff, Bristol and Plymouth.

Heathrow provides access to international markets. Terminal 2 (T2), the £2.5 billion development named The Queen’s Terminal, is to be opened in June by the Queen herself. Designed by luis vidal + architects, internationally renowned for ambitious work on airports and commitment to economic, social and environmental responsibility, the project has taken five years to complete.
